3 AI Projects that landed me a Job offer

As we closed the chapter of 2024 several days ago, the demand of AI-Specialized job roles have increased rapidly and the trend shows no sign of slowing down as well. From my conversations with recruiters and owners of highly successful agencies, it became clear that the AI projects featured in my portfolio were more than just impressive — they were striking and memorable. This leads to me getting a full-time offer in their company.
Here, I'll share 3 of my AI personal projects:
-
Image Recognition System
This project received the best reaction and attention so far. It's a visual search application tailored for e-commerce platforms that lets shoppers upload a photo of something they like, such as shoes, and quickly find similar items for sale. This application builds on my earlier project where I used visual search to detect various types of leaf diseases.
-
AI Agent for building software applications
I developed an advanced AI Agent capable of creating software applications from scratch, a notable example being a complex Mahjong game. This project utilized Rust alongside the OpenAI API, you can use whatever you preferred best tho. The agent was instructed in natural language to develop the game, and it executed the task by generating code that not only functioned correctly but also efficiently.
-
Recommendation Systems for e-commerce
The last project is something I developed during my Internship in the Netherlands. It is on building the company's first ever recommendation system, which was a breakthrough project in personalizing shopping experiences and tbh, this is the hardest project so far…
Tips for Showcasing Your Work: To effectively showcase these projects, consider displaying working prototypes or demonstration videos on your LinkedIn profile or personal website. Such visual representations can significantly catch the attention of recruiters and industry peers.
